This hands-on session is to prepare the club members for
participating in the Freescale Smart Car Competition. The main objective is to
familiarize with the features embedded in the SX12 microcontroller unit and the
Smart Car Kit which is the core components for the Freescale Smart Car
Competition.
The session was carried out during few weekends after the final
examination in July 2011. During this session, the team members also experimented
with different types of sensors to find the most suitable sensor required for
the competition.
As a result, during the prototype development, the teams are able to
identify and troubleshoot the problems in shorter time and also produce more
robust controller coding.
